Six Month Smiles

Six Month SmilesSix Month Smiles is an alternative to traditional braces that utilizes tried-and-true orthodontic methods to align your teeth. But, instead of garish metal brackets, these clear plastic braces are hardly noticeable. Since treatments are designed to last only six months, your teeth will be straightened in much less time than you thought possible, with a price tag you won’t believe; Six Month Smiles can cost less than traditional braces or other teeth straightening treatments.

How do they work?

Six Month Smiles use clear brackets and tooth colored wires to make them much less visible than traditional braces. Because Six Month Smiles focuses primarily on the teeth that can be seen when you smile, the treatment time is surprisingly short.

This doesn’t mean that we are aggressively tightening your wires or moving your teeth at a dangerous pace. On the contrary, we use “low impact” techniques that are much more gentle than traditional orthodontic braces. There is no more risk of damage than conventional braces. Our goal is always to keep your teeth, roots, and gums healthy. Only in rare occasions do we recommend the removal of teeth.

Who can benefit from Six Month Smiles?

The primary focus of Six Month Smiles is to straighten the teeth that show when you smile, not every single tooth. So, it’s an easier way to improve the look of your teeth and ease spacing issues, making it easier to floss and improve your dental hygiene. However, if your interests lie in fixing your bite or decreasing symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder, we suggest you look into our other alternative braces option, Invisalign Invisible Braces.

Anyone over the age of 16 who struggles with over-crowding or misaligned teeth can benefit from Six Month Smiles. Patients with extreme bite problems may not be good candidates, but our dentists can help you decide what’s best for you.
